We enjoyed our Christmas Eve with Chris's family. We spent most of the day at their house and then went home to ready for the next day. The boys were very excited for Santa's arrival and could swear they heard reindeer outside. We also said goodbye to "Jerry," our elf on the shelf. He had been watching us all month to ensure we were good. We wished him a safe journey home and hoped to see him again next year. Christmas Eve is also the night that Chris and I open our gifts to each other--it's been a tradition since we've had the kids as it gives us time to enjoy each other rather than take away from all the crazy present opening the kids do!
