Oregon Vacation...and slacking

I'll admit it...I'm an incredible slacker. S-L-A-C-K-E-R. Or so I've been told by my friend, Sara. Sorry Sara! I'm way behind in posting things. The last time I did anything was my date with Loudon--3 months ago! Well, maybe I'm not a slacker--just preoccupied and being pulled in many directions. These pics are from our vacation to Seaside, Oregon. We had a great time although going on a vacation with two small children is a lot of work! I do feel fortunate to have a great family to be with no matter what!

As for the past three months? I now have my teaching certificate (WOOHOO!) and am actively seeking a teaching job, although the market is flooded and jobs are scarce. Worst case scenario I'll be subbing. I've been asked to be a graduate assistant to the dean of education at Whitworth which is really exciting--I'm doing research for him and another favorite professor on campus regarding sustainability education and environmental education. I am taking a couple of summer courses, working on my graduate project, and should have my Master's Degree by December of this year. Also, I'm determined to get my Ph.D. so that will be coming into play rather soon. I'm hoping to get some photo books done this summer as well as work on some writing and art projects. Oh yeah, and I've been working out a TON, which I am very proud to say!

Chris is doing great. He loves his job at Mental Health and he rocks at it. He has been keeping our yard absolutely beautiful as well as loosing a few pounds without even working at it (poo poo to you! ;)).

Loudon is working on potty training, which is far more difficult than I ever imagined. He doesn't enjoy it most of the time--but we keep trying. He's getting smarter and smarter every day and is infinitely funny!

Parker is a busy busy little guy. He never stops! He is really talking a ton now and that reminds me so much of Loudon at that age--who he follows around everywhere. Two boys are fun so I can't complain.

We are great, life is great, and we are happy to be here...

Wow. Now I feel like a total slacker. Thanks.

:) Glad to hear you're doing well. The boys look like they had fun. I love the merry-go-round photo. It's crazy how fast they grow!
