Chris and I--thanks to our wonderful parents--were lucky enough to go to Seattle for a long weekend. We were able to see a great concert performed by The Swell Season. This is a band we really enjoy and were delighted to see. We also had the chance to go to Pike Place, the first Starbucks, and other fun places around downtown. We stayed at his brother's home, Jeff, who was a great host--he even took us to his friends' wine shop for a tasting. It was great to have time with just the two of us, but also to be missed by our wonderful little boys. We were delighted to come home to our funny little men--Parker grabbed Chris and yelled, "My daddy! My daddy!" Then he crawled into my arms and said, "I love mommy!" Melts the heart! Loudon had lots to tell us about his time when we were away--I think it helped to warm him up when presents came out of the bag. :)
