This is a picture of the tree outside of Jeff's house. I always like looking at the moss growing on it. Such a pretty welcoming sight each time we visit.
Because Loudon's birthday was just a few days away and I learned that he is now in LOVE with legos, I thought it was most appropriate to visit the Lego Store at Bellevue Square. They have a wall there that you can pick any legos you want and fill a bin. How fun! I filled a little one for Loudon to give to him when I got home.
The next day, we headed to Oak Harbor to visit my best friend since Kindergarten, Leanna. She and her husband just recently moved there due to Duane being stationed in the Navy there. I'm so glad to have them closer--they were in Florida until recently--and now I can visit a beautiful place! Here is Deception Pass, an incredibly cool bridge with a gorgeous view as you arrive on Whidbey Island.
Here is the view from Leanna's new home. Lucky girl, huh!?! She's just a few minutes from Oak Harbor in just a beautiful area. I think her and Duane are really going to love it there.
Leanna, Amelia, and I visited the Daffodils one day. The tulips weren't in bloom yet, but WHOA! it's hard to believe how many daffodils are there. There were fields upon fields of them. It was just tons of yellow everywhere!
We headed back to Bellevue, hitting IKEA and then going to lunch before parting ways. We got one last pose with Leanna, Duane, and Amelia. How cute!
Amelia and Lily became good friends by the second night we stayed with her and Uncle Jeff. Amelia has been going through the "Stranger Danger" phase of baby-hood and wasn't so sure about Lily the first night. Now, as you can see, they are good friends!
On the way home Amelia and I stopped at a couple of places. Here are the horse statues on the hill near Vantage. Very cool sculpture.
Amelia was a wonderful travelling companion. She really only had a tough time going over the pass on the way to Bellevue. After that, she was pretty happy for the most part. I did discover anytime she got a little unhappy, all I had to do was sing "Slippery Fish" and she was super duper okay. This mom will do anything to keep her baby happy!
