Beloved Boxer

This isn't the easiest post to give to you. Of course we know, nothing in life is certain or lasts forever. We took Olive in for a vet visit due to her having some pain during eating. We found out Olive has cancer in her right jaw. The prognosis is not good. The cancer is agressive and surgery is not an option in our minds as we would have to remove Olive's bottom jaw. We talked a lot about it and agreed we could not do that to our dog--we love her too much to be selfish and torture her like that. Dogs are supposed to run, jump, wag, and love. So we will enjoy our short time we have left together. This trial in life does help us remember that we need to appreciate everything, even a silly old dog and her unconditional love. In the end, we see nothing is permanent...except love. She has some time left to be her good old dog self...and we'll love every minute of that time with her.
