Again, it's tough realizing my first baby is 5!!! We're having a lot of fun with him, though. I've noticed lately how caring and helpful he can be around the house. He helps with both of his younger siblings and is eager to run errands for us as well--most of the time. :)
For his 5th birthday, Loudon requested a Scooby Doo cake. I made the Mystery Machine (Yes, it's edible!). I also bought him some cool Scooby action figures. Everyone loved the cake--it was cute!
Here is Auntie Crystal with Parker and her two GRANDCHILDREN (heehee), Isabella and Hudson.
Trinity, Sandi's grandbaby, just wanted to see and hold baby Amelia. That was the best part of the party for her!
A cute and wonderful Daddy!
Not sure what Brian's doing, but I'm guessing he's trying to speak baby...
We always have to catch a picture of us--Chris and I--with the birthday kid. Way to go, Loudon! You survived our experimental parenting. :) All joking aside, I'm guessing we've done pretty well raising him so far. He's a very happy boy!
Papa Chris and Hudson bond while Grandma Dot laughs at the two of them. Grandpa Chris went in for surgery just a few days later and he is doing pretty good now.
The boys try out the new toys.
It was a truly fabulous party. The funniest part was that Loudon really ran the show. We had told him the sequence of things that needed to happen--First we play, then we eat, then we have cake, and THEN we open presents. After about 30 minutes of everyone being at the house, Loudon announced it was time to eat pizza. Just as everyone was finishing pizza, we heard a rumor from another toddler that it was cake time. Loudon plopped himself at the table and said he was ready. Ok....we barely got through cake when all these kids were gathering at the carpet ready to open presents! What the hey?!? Loudon pushed everyone through the process and even (to my dismay) started thanking people and kicking them out the door. We had to put the reigns on that one! Silly little boy! In the end, we had fun and really enjoyed having everyone over to celebrate this huge event for our biggest boy. They do grow up too fast...
